Dr. Campbell is passionate about serving clients with primary issues in general mental health, addictions, adolescents, and eating disorders in his role as Chief Medical Officer of the Atlantic Division at Pyramid Healthcare. He brings deep expertise from his training at Temple Medical School, Yale Psychiatry Residency, and Yale Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship, along with his board certifications and faculty roles at Temple and Yale.

Dr. Campbell is a 3rd degree black belt in jiu-jitsu, having started the sport in undergraduate school after wrestling through middle and high school due to the lack of a wrestling program. He remains actively engaged in the jiu-jitsu community and has trained with athletes who reached the highest levels of MMA in Bellator and UFC. He is particularly aware of the challenges student athletes face in balancing athletics, academics, family, friends, and a healthy lifestyle.

"What is something you really enjoy about this job or that you are passionate about in your profession?"

As a psychiatric nurse practitioner I am passionate about empowering individuals struggling with mental health symptoms to take control of their life and watching them progress into a space where they feel the most safe and stable. I am passionate about helping individuals gain insight into their thoughts, behaviors and symptoms and watching them make meaningful changes in their life that last a long time. I am also passionate about reducing the polypharmacy practices we see so often in this field.

I enjoy watching and photographing sunsets especially when I am on a beach. I enjoy painting while listening to True Crime podcasts. I love spending time with my family and friends and hosting themed parties for every occasion especially 4th of July (my favorite day of the year! I can’t forget to mention spending time with my furbabies, Hershey, the biggest–baby at 110 pounds, a mix of GSP and Blue Tick Coonhound and Reese (our rescue, mixed breed), and our cat Peekachoo.
