This program is intended to exclusively meet the needs of adults who may be experiencing mental health symptoms due to increased anxiety, pressure, depression, helplessness and difficulty managing life stressors and transitions. PHP is designed for individuals with a primary mental health diagnosis. This may include generalized anxiety disorder, major depressive disorder, bipolar, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

The treatment team utilizes traditional and holistic therapies, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance & commitment therapy (ACT), motivational interviewing, yoga, art therapy, psychoeducation and aromatherapy. Our Exton facility offers a specialized Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) tailored for adults aged 18 and older. This program goes beyond the scope of regular weekly therapy sessions by providing a more structured treatment approach. Central to our IOP is group therapy, complemented by individual and family counseling sessions that can be arranged as needed.

We incorporate a diverse array of therapeutic methods in our program, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, group processing and skill-building exercises. Our team of counselors is dedicated to developing a comprehensive treatment plan that aligns with each individual’s specific mental health requirements. In situations where medication is indicated, we facilitate referrals to our psychiatric providers. The adult IOP is conducted four days a week, with each session lasting two hours and 15 minutes.

Particularly noteworthy is our specialized treatment for adults dealing with anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), conditions that are prevalent yet often lack focused care. We offer an in-depth, multidisciplinary treatment approach that includes evaluation, symptom management, treatment planning, stabilization, and discharge planning. Our treatment utilizes evidence-based practices like CBT, DBT, and exposure response prevention (ERP) to effectively mitigate the symptoms of anxiety and OCD. This involves learning and applying mindfulness techniques, coping skills specifically tailored for anxiety and OCD, and participating in low-level exposure therapy.

Our Anxiety & OCD IOP, available Monday through Thursday from 10:00AM to 12:15PM, provides an empathetic and supportive environment for adults beginning or continuing their journey in managing these diagnoses.
