Focused Support for LGBTQIA+ Youth in Havertown, PA
Our Havertown location is proud to offer a specialized Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) catering to the unique mental health needs of LGBTQIA+ adolescents aged 14-18. Understanding the complex challenges faced by young people related to their sexual and gender identities, this program is designed to provide a safe, supportive environment. It encourages the expression of feelings, thoughts and opinions, fostering a sense of acceptance and understanding.
Program Details and Family Involvement
The LGBTQIA+ IOP group meets Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 3:30 pm to 5:45 pm. This program offers more than just group therapy; it includes a comprehensive treatment approach tailored to each adolescent’s specific needs. Recognizing the importance of family support in the healing process, we encourage the involvement of family members and caregivers. Our family group sessions are held on Thursdays, and we also offer a free parent support group on Saturday mornings from 10:00 am to 11:30 am.
