At High Focus Centers in Northeast Philadelphia, our counselors work with both adults and adolescents struggling with mental health disorders, and adults with substance use disorder. Offering both intensive outpatient (IOP) groups and a partial hospitalization program (PHP), we can provide the right level of support for different behavioral health concerns. One of two High Focus Centers outpatient facilities in the city of Philadelphia, we are located on Roosevelt Boulevard, in between the neighborhoods of Rhawnhurst and Bustleton. While our Center City location serves the downtown area, our Northeast location is convenient for clients living in the suburbs and surrounding counties, including Bucks County. We accept most commercial insurance providers and self-pay clients.

Clients will develop self-awareness about their triggers and symptoms and learn coping mechanisms to improve their skill sets and overall wellness.

This program will also target areas such as setting healthy boundaries, improving communication skills, increasing behavioral activation, exploring career goals and independent living skills, and building confidence and insight into current choices and actions. The program uses traditional and holistic therapies, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), motivational interviewing, yoga, art therapy, psychoeducation and aromatherapy. Clients receive individualized care from a psychiatric provider, therapists and holistic trainers. This program is provided Monday-Friday from 10am to 2pm.

Our DBT partial hospitalization program offers an intensive, structured environment designed to help individuals develop critical coping skills and emotional regulation strategies. Meeting five times a week for four hours each session, this program provides a comprehensive approach to mental health treatment, blending individual therapy, skills training and group support. Participants engage in modules focused on mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation and interpersonal effectiveness, all aimed at fostering resilience and improving overall well-being. The supportive group setting encourages shared experiences and mutual growth, creating a community where members can practice new skills in a safe and understanding environment. With the guidance of experienced therapists, participants are empowered to navigate their challenges and build a foundation for lasting recovery.

Intensive Outpatient Programs for Adults

This program provides a higher level of care compared with weekly outpatient counseling sessions with a therapist.
