At High Focus Centers in Northeast Philadelphia, our counselors work with both adults and adolescents struggling with mental health disorders, and adults with substance use disorder. Offering both intensive outpatient (IOP) groups and a partial hospitalization program (PHP), we can provide the right level of support for different behavioral health concerns. One of two High Focus Centers outpatient facilities in the city of Philadelphia, we are located on Roosevelt Boulevard, in between the neighborhoods of Rhawnhurst and Bustleton. While our Center City location serves the downtown area, our Northeast location is convenient for clients living in the suburbs and surrounding counties, including Bucks County. We accept most commercial insurance providers and self-pay clients. 

Our Northeast Philadelphia center is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 9 pm. Walk-in appointments for substance use level of care assessments are available Monday through Friday 1 pm – 4 pm.  Whether you work evenings or daytime hours, we have treatment times available that fit in within your schedule. Our Northeast Philadelphia location offers a partial hospitalization program (PHP) designed for adults aged 18+ with a primary mental health diagnosis. This may include the following:

  • Generalized Anxiety Disorder
  • Major Depressive Disorder
  • Bipolar Disorder
  • OCD

This program is intended to exclusively meet the needs of adults who may be experiencing mental health symptoms due to increased anxiety, pressure, depression, helplessness and difficulty managing life stressors and transitions.

At High Focus Centers in Northeast Philadelphia, our treatment team utilizes a variety of traditional and holistic therapies, including:

Our young adult partial hospitalization program (PHP) in Northeast Philadelphia is intended to exclusively meet the needs of young adults ages 18-24 who may be experiencing mental health symptoms due to increased anxiety, pressure, depression, helplessness and difficulty managing life stressors and transitions. Clients will develop self-awareness about their triggers and symptoms and learn coping mechanisms to improve their skill sets and overall wellness.

This program will also target areas such as setting healthy boundaries, improving communication skills, increasing behavioral activation, exploring career goals and independent living skills, and building confidence and insight into current choices and actions. The program uses traditional and holistic therapies, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), motivational interviewing, yoga, art therapy, psychoeducation and aromatherapy. Clients receive individualized care from a psychiatric provider, therapists and holistic trainers. This program is provided Monday-Friday from 10am to 2pm.

High Focus Centers in Northeast Philadelphia offers a mental health IOP for adults aged 18+ who are struggling primarily with a mental health condition. This program provides a higher level of care compared with weekly outpatient counseling sessions with a therapist. The core IOP treatment method involves group therapy sessions—individual and family counseling sessions can be scheduled on an as-needed basis. High Focus Centers utilizes a variety of therapies, such as:

  • Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)
  • Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT)
  • Acceptance & commitment therapy (ACT)
  • Motivational interviewing
  • Group processing
  • Skill-building exercises

Our counselors work to develop a comprehensive treatment plan that best meets your unique mental health needs. When medication is necessary, we will refer you for psychiatric services.

IOP is offered four days a week for two hours and 15 minutes per session. Both morning and evening adult mental health IOP groups are available.

Co-Occurring IOP for Adults

This group is designed to address the unique needs of adults who are struggling to stabilize their mental health while exploring evidence-based substance use treatment options. Clients receive comprehensive treatment in a small group setting to ensure personalized attention and optimum intensive, therapeutic support.

High Focus Centers in Northeast Philadelphia offers intensive outpatient (IOP) for adults aged 18 and older with substance use disorders. IOP may be a suitable next step for those who have safely detoxed from substances or completed a residential or partial hospitalization program. Alternatively, we can help those in the early stages of an addiction who do not need residential treatment yet.
