Adolescent Treatment in Phoenixville

High Focus Centers in Phoenixville, PA, offers specialized PHP and IOP programs designed to provide comprehensive support for teens struggling with mental health issues. Our programs combine individualized therapy, group sessions, and family involvement to create a holistic approach to adolescent mental health care. Our Phoenixville location offers two partial hospitalization programs (PHP) for teens (ages 15-18) and younger teens (ages 12-14). PHP is designed for teens with a primary mental health diagnosis. PHP works well for teens with a strong support system who have difficulty managing their symptoms. This may include generalized anxiety disorder, major depressive disorder, bipolar, OCD or PTSD. The treatment team will use a variety of interventions to address the mental health symptoms, through cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, and experiential techniques. In addition, our PHP program also implements holistic therapy into the individual’s treatment through art therapy, music therapy, trauma-sensitive yoga and more.

Teens in our PHP will be able to meet with our psychiatric provider to discuss medications and express their thoughts on symptoms related to medication. Our PHP has a partnership with LearnWell to be a valuable resource for teens in maintaining continuity of schooling while in treatment. LearnWell is a licensed, private program of educators which coordinates with your child’s school to help your child stay up to date with their schoolwork.

Young Teen IOP

Intensive outpatient program (IOP) treatment for younger teens (ages 12-14) offers more support than traditional therapy. A therapeutic group with similar-aged peers increases the likelihood of engagement and positive treatment outcomes. The focus of the IOP will be to develop healthy coping strategies in order to assist with the treatment of anxiety, adjustment disorders, social skills development and trauma. The treatment team will utilize a variety of interventions, through cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, behavioral therapy and expressive therapy activities in order to support the individual in developing the appropriate set of skills. The goal of our teen and younger teen IOP is to create a safe and supportive environment to address specific issues around the unique experience of transitioning into adolescence and adolescence.
